"September 19th 2011 was the day when I had to change the way I lived in a blink of an eye.
Going a month straight and not knowing what was wrong with me was painful.
Finally, after a week in the hospital, I was diagnosed with
something I had never heard of: Ulcerative Colitis.

So, now I have IBD and knowing nothing about it was the scariest part.
Then in January of 2012, I had a relapse and spent another week in the hospital.
I was going to be put back on steroids and that was depressing.
But, through it all I came back stronger than ever.
Everyday I learn something new about this disease.
I am not ashamed or embarrassed of what I have.
God would never put me through anything that he thought I couldn't handle.
I embrace every day and have come this far. I never thought I could have done it.

Makes me proud to know I can do this and still live a normal life!"
